Hi, welcome to LG&E/KU/ODP's new blog, Your Energy Matters. Yes, your gas and electric utility has jumped on the blog bandwagon…and for good reason. We’ve been communicating with you for years, through our customer service newsletters, advertising, community outreach, e-mail and, more recently, through Twitter.
Now, we’re branching out farther into the world of social media with this blog. And, while it’s new territory for us, it’s really just another way to reach out to our customers and chat. There’s a lot going on in our industry and plenty to talk about.
We want to know how we can better serve you, our customers, and we plan to provide you with some insight into what’s going on at our organization.
Bloggers on Your Energy Matters will be employees from our Communications Department, blogging on hot topics and timely news. Occasionally, we’ll have guest bloggers — subject matter experts from other areas of the company — who will share their unique perspective about specific industry/company topics.
Now, for some housekeeping…to leave a comment, you must first register with Google Blogger. We’re looking for productive, meaningful dialogue with our customers, and to help with that effort, we’ve developed some Discussion Guidelines.
To keep the conversation suitable for everyone, we will moderate all comments prior to publishing to ensure they adhere to the guidelines. Anonymous comments will not be approved for publication.
You can also send us an e-mail if you have a question about LG&E/KU/ODP or utilities in general. We’ll respond within two business days. If it’s a topic of general interest, we may even paraphrase your message and share it on the blog to keep the conversation going.
