December's Free Energy Management Workshops

Monday, December 12, 2011 Posted by Brian Phillips
Although colder temperatures have arrived, you can still take action to reduce your home's energy use and save money.

Each year, we partner with our good friends at Project Warm to offer free weatherization workshops across the community. These are hour-long seminars that teach participants some easy, do-it-yourself ways to make a home more energy efficient.

And, each participant leaves with a free weatherization kit that includes plastic sheeting, tape, tacks, caulk, foam wall plates (for your light switch and electrical outlets) and a brochure with energy-saving tips. You'll leave Project Warm's workshop with a game plan and the tools needed to make an energy-saving difference.

Click here to learn more about Project Warm. In addition, visit our website for programs and tips that will save you energy and money year- round. I always say that the cheapest energy is that which you do not use...and these workshops are a good way to learn directly from the experts and ask questions.

If you can't make any of the December workshops, don't worry; we'll have more scheduled for 2012 in the coming weeks, so check back to our blog often.

Until then, keep using energy wisely and have a safe and happy holiday season.
