Energy Efficiency Programs Make Headlines

In our previous post we provided 5 simple ways to prepare your home for a hot summer. One of those tips was to enroll in our Demand Conservation Program, which helps utilities like ours better control peak customer energy demand on the hottest days of summer.

In return, we credit your energy bill each month, June through September, all for helping us enhance the reliable electric service we're in the business of providing you.

Over the weekend, the Lexington Herald-Leader profiled our program and went into detail about its benefits, including why customers should participate. You can check out their story here.

Although the article focused on a program designed for residential customers, our commercial customers can get in on the energy efficiency action, too.

In fact, we have a whole host of programs designed to help businesses better manage energy costs and save money.

Another Kentucky publication, The Lane Report, recently profiled our Commercial Rebate Program, which helps commercial customers offset the cost of making certain energy efficient upgrades to their facilities. You can check out that article here.

Don't forget: now is the time to act to get a better handle on those energy costs. Check out www.lge-ku.com/savingenergy for a complete look at what we have to offer, and how we can help.

Until next time, keep using energy wisely.
