Holiday Savings: Don’t forget our rebates when shopping Black Friday and Cyber Monday
Tuesday, November 26, 2013
Shopping on Black Friday for many families is a part of tradition along with the turkey and trimmings. For our LG&E and KU customers the holiday deals get even better with additional savings if purchasing ENERGY STAR certified major appliances.
We offer home energy rebates ranging from $50 to $300 to help residential customers offset the purchasing costs of certain ENERGY STAR certified refrigerators, clothes washers, dishwashers, freezers and heat pump water heaters.
“This program has been extremely popular with our customers,” said Natasha Collins, director of Media Relations for LG&E and KU. “Whether you purchase a qualifying ENERGY STAR appliance now during the holidays or later in the year, our rebates can help offset the purchasing cost.”
How to Apply
1. Purchase a qualifying ENERGY STAR refrigerator, clothes washer, freezer, dishwasher or heat pump water heater.
2. Start your application online at the LG&E and KU website or by calling 1-800-356-5467.
3. Receive a copy of your application by mail for your signature.
4. Sign and return your completed application and proof of purchase using the complimentary business reply envelope.
5. Receive a rebate check within six to eight weeks.
