A Day of Caring: Where Good Deeds Meet Community Needs

One of the many volunteer efforts we're involved in each year is our Day of Caring, which is part of our company's larger employee-giving campaign called the Power of One.

As part of the annual effort, more than 150 employees and their families this past Saturday spread out at seven locations across the state to pitch in and help nonprofit organizations and public parks tackle tasks like painting, mulching, weeding...even building and remodeling homes. These are improvements most nonprofit organizations and public parks can't always do on their own.

Television station WLKY-32 came to Farnsley-Moreman in southwestern Jefferson County on Saturday to profile our volunteer work. Take a look at their story below:

Giving back to the communities we serve is something that's always been a priority for us...it's part of our company's long-standing culture. Saturday's work was another opportunity to connect with the people and places that make Kentucky such as great place to live and work.
