Wish you had more time to pay your bill? Now you do.

A genie in a bottle isn’t the only one who can make your wishes come true. Even companies like LG&E and KU can turn dreams into reality.

Like when many of our customers said they wished they had more time to pay their bill each month, we took steps to make it happen.

So when the calendar turned over from the old year to the New Year, something other than the date on the calendar changed. On Jan. 1, we made changes to our billing and payment schedule that means LG&E and KU customers now have more time to pay their bill each month.

If you’re an LG&E or KU customer, you now have 22 days from the date your bill is mailed before it is due. That’s right. You now have 10 additional days to make your LG&E or KU payment. We’ll only charge a late payment fee if we don’t receive your payment on or before the payment due date.

The additional time to pay is great news for all of our customers, but it’s especially good news for anyone who struggles to pay their bills due to financial hardship. Extra time to pay means those customers won’t have the added expense of a late payment fee when they are not able to pay their bill on time.

If you are one of our more than 100,000 Auto Pay customers, the new payment schedule means your money will stay in your bank account a little longer. Your payment will still be deducted automatically from your bank account on the payment due date, but your payment due date is later than it had been before the billing and payment schedule change. Auto Pay is the most convenient way to pay your LG&E or KU bill, but it’s certainly not the only way. We offer a variety of payment options, one of which is sure to fit your needs.

If you’re like most people we talk to, it can be tough to keep track of all of your bills and their various due dates. Hopefully, the additional time you now have to pay your bill will help relieve some of the stress of keeping up with bill due dates and your household budget.

Thanks for letting us know you wanted more time to pay. We appreciate hearing from you. Please let us know if you ever have a question – or suggestion – about the service we’re providing. While our employees aren’t actual genies, there are times when they can turn dreams into reality.
