Homearama 2013: Get inspired with energy efficient ideas

You’ve got the itch to remodel your home or simply redecorate a room, but can’t find any great ideas on Pinterest? Well, stop pinning and make plans to get inspired at Homearama 2013 this weekend.


LG&E and KU is a presenting sponsor of Homearama 2013 and this year the showcase of new homes will be at two locations in Louisville — Locust Creek off Shelbyville Road and Rock Springs off Ballardsville Road. You’ll be able to tour 18 homes priced in the mid-$400,000 range. All homes are fully-furnished and landscaped, and include the latest trends in decorating, appliances, technology and more.

We’re excited all 18 homes qualify as both Residential Energy Services Network EnergySmart Homes and as LG&E and KU Energy-Saving New Homes. That means each of the homes underwent testing to acquire energy-efficient certification. It gives new homeowners a more comfortable and efficient home.

The show is open to the public, July 13-28, during the following times.
  • Saturday: 10 a.m. – 9:30 p.m. 
  • Sunday: 1 – 6 p.m. 
  • Monday through Friday: 5 – 9:30 p.m.

Admission is $10 per person, per visit. This year you will have the opportunity to purchase a dual-site ticket for $15. It will allow you access to visit both sites anytime during the 16-day event.
